ONLY 7 SPOTS LEFT!!

I have an important question for you today.

Something I have never considered before, until now.

Would you like to come to Death Valley, California with me in June to Conquer Your Life's Badwaters while I get ready to attempt what only 15 others in the history of the world have accomplished and help our Caring House Project Foundation build a new village in Haiti at the same time?

No more than 25 people will be able to come with me (with only 7 spots left). Be sure to scroll down a few paragraphs to see a short video.

Last year, after my 6th successful finish at the Death Valley Badwater 135-mile Ultramarathon I said I was done with the race for good. All the training, paining, sacrificing and dying had taken its toll.

Here is what the very last line of my 2011 race summary said: “And, in case you are wondering (and if Nilsa, my wife reads this), given what we went through this year, this is my LAST Badwater.”

Well, I changed my mind!

I applied to the race and was invited back to challenge the white line from hell to heaven for my 7th attempt at finishing the Badwater Ultramarathon, a race National Geographic calls the “toughest footrace in the world!”

And I would like for you to join me for a June 1-3 event (one month before the race) in Death Valley, California called Conquering Your Life’s Badwaters!

For those who are unaware, the Badwater Ultramarathon is an invitation-only race held in Death Valley during the desert’s hottest month of the year, July (this year, July 16-18).

Ninety-nine runners from 20 countries will line up at the start line. Badwater starts at -282 feet below sea level, the lowest point in the western hemisphere. Air temperatures can exceed 130 degrees during the race, while ground temps on the blacktop road are 200+ degrees, hot enough to melt the gel in your shoes.

The course traverses 135 non-stop miles through the Mojave, over three mountain ranges, and finishes nearly 8,500 feet above sea level. You must finish in 48 hours. There are no aid stations.

You're probably wondering if I’ve gone mad. Not because I will compete in this race for a 7th time, but because I am inviting you to join me in Death Valley a little over a month before the actual Badwater race for an experience event called: Conquering Your Life’s Badwaters!

I haven't, stay with me…(and no, you won’t be running in the heat!)

We all have our own life’s Badwaters. Those insurmountable, incomprehensible and impossible (the three “I’s”) opportunities that lay themselves on our hearts. Should we pursue them? Or allow them to expire along with all those other life challenges that we missed because we applied our “better judgment” (defined as “Googling it,” gathering opinions from the 99%, and all our negative self talk).

Philosopher Anthony DeMello said; “We’ve been taught our whole life that we are afraid of the unknown. How can we fear something we don’t know? What we are afraid of is leaving the known.”

Leaving the known in my life for all that is unknown about each new Badwater experience is what causes me to truly feel life and love. Love for my wife, for my crew, for the desert, for all my Badwater friends, and certainly love for the Badwater experience.

Badwater has taught me more about unrelenting perseverance than any other experience in my life.

Back to the three “I’s”: insurmountable, incomprehensible and impossible. Sure the Badwater race (and all the preparation) is a monumental struggle in every way, but as the finish line tape is taken down after the last runner crosses, what about life’s other Badwaters we will be presented with?

They can be physical, relational, spiritual, financial, emotional, etc. By experiencing Badwater in the Death Valley desert (6x) I am better able to help you identify, pursue, commit to, cope with and conquer what are far more important Badwaters found outside the desert.

Badwater has certainly helped me become the real estate "artist" I am, succeed with the multi-million dollar oceanfront projects I create, write my bestselling books and operate the Caring House Project Foundation.

This leads me to my invitation to you…

I have put together an experience event, called Conquering Your Life’s Badwaters!, that will allow you to witness some of what I endure, but more important, it will allow you to learn in one of the most beautiful environments in the world, Death Valley National Park and help us build a new village in Haiti.

And again, you won’t have to run a single step in the heat!

FURNACE CREEK RANCH RESORT
Furnace Creek Ranch Resort

SCOTTY'S CASTLE
Scotty’s Castle

You and I will stay at a true oasis in the desert, the Furnace Creek Ranch Resort.

Rather than have all our learning opportunities take place inside this beautiful hotel, we will convene at places like Badwater – the actual race start location, the magnificent Scotty’s Castle, and the beautiful and seemingly out-of-place Darwin waterfall at Panamint Springs.

We’ll see places like the Devil’s Golf Course, Devil’s Corn Field, Death Valley Ghost Towns, etc.

DARWIN WATERFALL AT PANAMINT SPRINGS

In addition to the beautiful scenery, I want you to come away being able to better identify, commit to, then pursue your life’s Badwaters. Here is what you will learn and be able to apply:

Identify a meaningful yet seemingly insurmountable, incomprehensible and impossible change or challenge that will leave your life forever improved.

Identify three different forms of goals (Minimum, Default and Primary) that you will associate with your life’s Badwater.

Manage the risk associated with your life’s Badwater.

Overcome the fear that comes with contemplating risk.

Identify then involve your team prior to formulating your life’s Badwater.

Take massive and focused action by relentlessly pursuing your life’s Badwater – close the loop on the endeavor.

And finally…Create, codify, trust, implement, execute, monitor, adjust, trust again, execute again, then conquer your life’s Badwater!

And much more!

Here is our schedule (updated May 18):

Whew! What do you think?

Would you like to be one of the 25 people to join me June 1-3 at our Conquering Your Life’s Badwaters! event (only 7 spots left)?

We'll pack a lot into the three days, and you will be home by Sunday.

Here is the minimum we are asking you to donate to our Caring House Project Foundation for the benefit of a new village we will build in Haiti later in 2012:

$22 for every mile (135) of my 2012 race, or $2,970 per person. This donation will make a huge impact in Haiti. You will have built one brand new concrete home for a family of 8 who were living in a mud or cardboard shack. Your home will have 2 rooms, kitchen, front porch and bathroom. The ultimate donation for the ultimate experience!

In addition to building a new home in Haiti, your donation will cover all group meals and drinks for your entire stay, the cocktail party, access to Death Valley National Park attractions, plus transportation from the Las Vegas Airport to the Furnace Creek Ranch Resort and back (in the bus), and all transportation in and around Death Valley.

The only thing not included with your donation is airfare to/from Las Vegas and accommodations at the Furnace Creek Ranch Resort. We have secured a really great group rate at the Resort.

As I often say, “we feel most alive when experiencing extremes for the first time.”

With the Conquering Your Life’s Badwaters! event you will certainly experience something unlike anything you have experienced before. You will feel very alive, you’ll learn how to conquer at least one of your life’s Badwaters AND help the most desperately poor and homeless in Haiti.

I promise you, it doesn’t get any better than that.

So, if you want to attend the Conquering Your Life’s Badwaters! event, here are three ways to secure one of only 25 spots (with 7 remaining):

I don’t think I need to add any more.

Most of the experiences I choose to share with a small group are one-time opportunities. I typically don't do them twice.

So, here is your opportunity to have a life-changing experience for yourself, while changing the life of another family in Haiti.

Visit some of the links above. Learn all you can about what we will be doing and where. I hope to see you June 1st!

Feel The Tap….

Call 561.722.3950 with your credit card information

Mail your $5,940 donation to Caring House Project Foundation, P.O. Box 388, Boynton Beach, FL 33425

P.P.S.

This is the last fundraiser for our Caring House Project Foundation for the remainder of 2012.

CHPF has always maintained an aggressive annual Program of Work, and 2012 is no different, with the undertaking of two new self-sufficient villages in Haiti.

As I approach my training for Badwater, I keep this simple mantra in mind: "I choose to suffer a little voluntarily for those who are suffering a lot involuntarily in Haiti."

I'm not asking you to suffer one bit, but I am encouraging you to experience our Conquering Your Life's Badwaters! with me June 1-3.

If you could only choose one event for the rest of the year, I know you would be making the right choice in choosing to come to Death Valley in June with me.

Feel The Tap...
