16 Homeless Shelters – 24 Days – last chance to donate in 2011

27 December 2011

We kick-off our Survival to Thrival Tour on January 16 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. We will visit 16 homeless shelters, soup kitchens and food pantries in 16 different states over the following 24 days. Click the preceding link to learn more, including seeing our “tour map” with all venues.

For those who want to donate to support the initiatives of our Survival to Thrival Tour, and still receive your tax deduction in 2011, you have a few days left to do so.

Remember, during our Survival to Thrival Tour we’ll be spending time directly assisting the people we meet, as well as making significant donations to care-giving organizations that catch Americans when they fall. In addition, we will be hosting a unique and life-(ex)changing home swap for one night in each city!

Here are 3 ways to support our effort: please consider donating $0.01, $0.10, or $1.00 per mile of our Survival to Thrival Tour. If you would prefer to give over the phone, call 561.722.3950, or mail your tax deductible donation to Caring House Project, P.O. Box 388, Boynton Beach, FL 33425.

Visit www.SurvivalToThrivalTour.com or read below to learn how you can join me on tour as a VI”T” or Very Important Thrivalist!

Here is how your donation will be distributed, and how you can join me as a VI”T” – Very Important Thrivalist.

As we stop in each of the 16 homeless shelters, soup kitchens and food pantries I will give a short aspirational talk on how all of us, including the most desperately poor and homeless, can move from survival to thrival.

After my talk, CHPF will pool your contributions to make significant donations to each of the homeless shelters, soup kitchens and food pantries that we visit. Funding for these important care-givers has been cut significantly. We want to be there to support their good works!

How significant a donation will CHPF make at each stop?

At least $25 for each person who attends my talk: if 200 show up, then $5,000 goes to the shelter/kitchen, and if it’s 400, then $10,000, and so on.

In addition, individuals who have fallen on hard times will be given direct financial assistance along the way in the form of gift cards.

Most unique, I will change places with one individual or family at each stop on the Survival to Thrival Tour. I’ll stay on the streets or at the shelter while another stays at a hotel or in our tour bus for the night. Your donation will help pay for those to stay off the street for a least one night!

Why am I staying under a bridge or at a homeless shelter?

To show how close most of us are to both scenarios, either to losing what we have, or to taking the first step necessary for getting back on our feet and thriving in this great country.

Now, here’s how you can join me on tour and become a VI”T” or Very Important Thrivalist:

Would you like to exclusively join me in one or more of the 16 cities I will be stopping in?

Would you like to be with me in a special “VIT” area as I deliver my aspirational talk at the homeless shelter, soup kitchen or food pantry?

Would you like to be a part of distributing assistance to the shelter/kitchen/pantry and then passing out gift cards to those most desperately poor and homeless after my talk?

Would you like to spend private time with me in my tour bus before we depart for the next city? See a photo of the bus in the video above.

Basically, would you like to totally immerse yourself (along with a loved one) in the entire experience in a host city of your choosing?

If so, here is all you need to do:

1) Donate $1 per mile of my Survival to Thrival Tour at the link below, or call 561.722.3950 to make your donation over the phone. Your donation entitles you to bring 2 people.

2) Choose one of the Tour stops from the map on theSurvival to Thrival Tour page, then call 561.722.3950 or email karen@frank-mckinney.com with your choice of city. We will call you to confirm all the exciting details.

Only a few days left in 2011 to take advantage of this year’s tax deduction. Why not donate $0.01, $0.10, or $1.00 per mile in support of my Survival to Thrival Tour? Please pass this along to your friends and encourage them to support our effort!
