Caring House Project Foundation is building its 19th and 20th self-sufficient village in Haiti as we enter 2013, CHPF was there 40 hours after the 2010 earthquake, responded within days of learning about the cholera outbreak by providing hundreds of clean water systems, was in Bayou La Batre, Alabama after Hurricane Katrina providing relief before the flood waters had even receded, and has been there to help, with a hands-on approach, at countless other disasters.
What is Caring House Project Foundation doing to help the millions affected by Hurricane Sandy?
We started 2012 with Frank McKinney’s Survival to Thrival Tour, https://frank-mckinney.com/tour_schedule.aspx. Remember that? We visited 16 homeless shelters, soup kitchens and food pantries in 16 U.S. cities over 24 days covering 4,071 miles. CHPF provided relief; physical, monetary and spiritual by impacting tens of thousands of the most desperately poor and homeless in our country. We even changed places with a homeless person or family in each city to “walk a mile in their shoes” while affording them the opportunity to feel loved.
While the purpose of the tour was to provide the aforementioned relief, these people had lost almost everything, and the last thing we wanted them to lose was HOPE!
That is what Caring House Project Foundation is going to bring to the people of New Jersey and New York, HOPE!
How do you think the homeless shelters and soup kitchens are faring in New Jersey and New York after Hurricane Sandy? We’ll, we’ve spoken to them. It’s as bad as you have seen on TV. The economy had already stretched their resources, but now they are stressed beyond their current capabilities, and turning hundreds of people away!
Some of the poor who counted on these facilities died because they had no place to go during the storm. Those who survived, yet were homeless prior to the storm, are even more afraid and lost. And, as the media is reporting, those who had a home are now without. They are showing up at these homeless shelters/soup kitchens in mass for assistance, yet there is very little to give.
CHPF is returning to these homeless shelters and soup kitchens in a large box truck/semi and we need your help! We’re leaving late today (Saturday) or early tomorrow with the truck loaded with emergency supplies and monetary relief.
You can help in 3 ways TODAY:
1) Donate $ so we can fill the truck with much needed relief supplies, gas, and be able to leave a monetary donation behind for the shelters/kitchens (preferred means of your suport). This is an unbudgeted undertaking for CHPF.

2) If you are local, visit the Costco at 17800 Congress Ave., Boca Raton, FL 33487 sometime today (Saturday) from 2:00-6:00pm to drop off your monetary donation or supplies of the following: canned food, water, blankets, new warm clothes especially socks, baby/adult hygiene needs, toys (many were washed away), 3 or 5 gallon empty gas containers (preferred item), batteries, flashlights, generators. No used clothes please.
