I know at least 1 homeless mother, father and little girl have been touched by our Survival to Thrival Tour…
04 February 2012The Survival to Thrival Tour has been impactful, enlightening and physically and emotionally draining.
Approaching our 4th week, we have visited 12 homeless shelters/soup kitchens (with 4 to go) and traveled 2,500 miles. We have touched thousands of homeless lives, never knowing how many are changed beyond the talk I give, or the gift cards we pass out.
The short note below from the father of a homeless family lets me know we (and you as a supporter) made a difference in their life.
When so many people we have met have lost everything, it’s a blessing to know that we prevented Matt, his wife and little girl from losing the most important things – Faith, hope and love.

Matt’s message:

“Last night you re-kindled a fire in my soul which the cold and harsh winds of being a homeless American family has been trying to extinguish!
Faith, hope & love!
My family and I are the typical American neighbor that lives in the corner house here in suburbia.
We represent a new era of (working?) class America: THE HOMELESS!! You and your tour crew showed up here unexpectedly at St Mark’s in Carmel, IN.
You spoke with us, spent time with us…signed books and then took us on shopping spree that was like no other experience!
You lit up smiles on the faces of each of us; Mother, Father & Child! Frank, in a world grown cold..you came to us and delivered a powerful message from God we all needed to hear: “You are not alone…You are not forgotten…You are Loved!”
It feels good knowing this again! Mr Nietzsche …you were proven wrong last night and I am here to testify “God is(NOT) dead” & if you don’t believe wait ’til you meet Frank McKinney and his crew. Mr. McKinney you Rock! I love you brother! Matt Ferran..forever touched!”
Here are 3 ways to support the last week of our effort: donate $0.01, $0.10, or $1.00 per mile of the Survival to Thrival Tour. If you would prefer to give over the phone, call 561.722.3950, or mail your tax deductible donation to Caring House Project, P.O. Box 388, Boynton Beach, FL 33425.
